Thomson Post Production Solutions At IBC
By Staff
Sep 4, 2008, 00:46
This year, Thomson's Post Production Solutions group will be demonstrating the latest developments for the Spirit and Bones product families at Stand 7.F31.
New Technology
OptiPin is the latest option for the Spirit 4K, Spirit 2K and Spirit HD. This amazing option addresses imperfections on the film side already in the scanning stage such as bad splices, flawed edges or instabilities, without affecting the scanning speed you have come to expect from Thomson Grass Valley.
With ''Touch Free'' perforation detection and subpixel correction, OptiPin is perfectly designed not only for new OCN but also for sensitive film stocks due to its extremely gentle film handling. It provides both inter- and intra-frame stability in combination with high speed film scanning to cover all of your projects in one machine. It is field upgradeable and will be available in fall 2008.
We will show OptiPin on our stand 7.F31. As always, you are invited to bring your own film to our booth and, we will be happy to demonstrate its ability with material you are familiar with, please contact us for an appointment.
Bones Dailies version 4.0 is the answer to everyone's 'User Wish List.' If your facility provides dailies or dailies services of any kind (Film, DATA or Video), you must see for yourself our latest release of Bones Dailies 4.0.
With many new features such as a burn in character generator for timecodes and/or keycode and other metadata, dynamics and an extended UI for color correction, seperate sync and grading pages, real time downconverters for SD or HD playouts from 2K DPX frames, Bones Coder for file based playout to MPEG, QuickTime, AVI, WM9, DVD and other additional new functions and augmentations, Bones Dailies 4.0 can help you increase your dailies productivity, manage all your clients meta-data and increase the throughput of your scanner without over burdening your expenses. For seamless storage connectivity, Bones now supports BrightClipä from Bright Systems. Bright Clip overcomes the industry-wide problem of disk randomization which causes major inefficiencies in digital file-based workflows.
Any modernization of this mature workflow that enables you to deliver your client's dailies earlier, more efficiently and optimized to your client's specifications is key to success in our market today. If your goal is to increase your teams productivity, modernize your workflows and control your expenses, you must register for a demo of Bones Dailies version 4.0 and witness the future of dailies.
