His editing style has evolved along with Eastwood’s subject matter, adapting to a wide variety of genres – from the quick-paced, action-packed The Rookie (1990) to the cool, dark, Charlie Parker biopic, Bird (1988). He earned his first Oscar for the laconic Western classic Unforgiven (1992).
