Article Search Advanced Search 'Hellboy' Visits AEAF By Staff Apr 23, 2004, 11:37 The comic book monster hero tale "Hellboy," is one of the featured presentations at the Australian Effects & Animation Festival Melbourne, June 1-3, 2004 at the Melbourne Convention Centre. Todd Labonte, animation supervisor, will outline the work produced for "Hellboy" (due in Australian cinemas in September) by Tippett Studios. The presentation will take place on June 1 at 3 p.m. Todd Labonte made his first stop motion film at age eight after seeing Phil Tippett's work on "Dragonslayer." He studied at Columbia College in Chicago, and after several years working on video games and theme park attractions, moved to Berkeley, California to work for Tippett Studio. At AEAF Melbourne, Labonte will join some of the world’s biggest animation and visual effects specialists to provide an insiders’ look at the creation of the stunning visuals in today’s film, TV and games.
