Podcast: CGI secrets of Iron Man

The movie may bring a '60s comic strip back to life, but it's special effects are hardly old-fashioned.

With the upcoming movie Iron Man, Paramount is resurrecting a 1960s comic strip, but the special effects are anything but vintage. CNET News.com's Kara Tsuboi talked with the visual-effects wizards at Industrial Light & Magic about pushing the limits of computer-generated images in the film.

Microsoft's board reportedly met Wednesday, but apparently came to no conclusions as to whether the company will launch a proxy fight, walk away, or bump its initial bid beyond its recently released trial balloon of $32 to $33 a share.
